NYFW is just around the corner! I hope that I find some time to sneak away from filming to check out some of my favorite designers. Fingers crossed! It’s also my favorite time of year in NYC.
My day is always different. I’m constantly moving from indoors to out, and using my phone to stay updated, so I’m glad that I’ve got my Transitions with me throughout the day. Did you know we are constantly exposed to Harmful Blue Light through our digital devices, and that the sun is the biggest contributor? My Transitions lenses help protect my eyes from both harmful UV rays from the sun as well as harmful blue light emitted from your phones and other electronics.
BY THE WAY I’m excited to announce that I’m one of their ambassadors!
Growing up my sister had to wear glasses, and I always envied that she got to wear them. I first heard about Transitions when I went with her to go buy new glasses. At the time (back in the 90’s) Transitions wasn’t the coolest of brands. The glasses never seemed to go clear and it took a long time for the lenses to go from semi clear to fully tinted and vice versa.
Like many things from the 90’s it’s making a comeback. They’ve got new technology for the lenses that can quickly go from clear to a tint in a matter of seconds.
I always knew your eyes could be damaged from harmful UV sun rays. I learned that the hard way living in Los Angeles developing yellow spots on my eyes called Pinguecula. But I didn’t realize that your eyes could be damaged from the harmful blue light rays that are emitted from your smart phones, computers and anything LED. As I get older (and a little wiser) I’ve realized how important it is to take care of yourself. With a healthy diet, workout regimen, meditation and slathering on SPF. But people tend to forget about protecting your eyes! That’s why I’m happy to be partnering with Transitions. It’s the perfect match…
Since I’m on the go so much, I love my Transitions lenses for their practicality. They automatically adapt with changing light (whether I’m inside or outside) so I can always enjoy light comfortably while minimizing eye strain. Transitions® lenses filter the light for you so your eyes don’t have to work as hard, allowing your eyes to stay relaxed and comfortable all day long.
Of course style is a big factor for me. That’s why I’m glad Transitions look great in a variety of frame options to offer both style and function. You can get Transitions lenses in virtually every frame, style and size you want

When I was younger I had a love/hate relationship with Transitions. It was mostly because whenever I was indoors, the lenses took forever to get back to normal. So here I was in school, with sunglasses indoors. Right now I wear prescription sunglasses, and sometimes it’s inconvenient having to switch glasses all the time…so I think you’ve inspired me to try transitions again! 🙂
I always thought transitions were super cool!
