Earlier in the spring I was house hunting in Atlanta. I made a promise to myself to invest in this city if our show came back for a season 2. I came across this really cool building in a part of town called Cabbagetown. In the turn of the century, Cabbagetown was bustling with factories and factory workers with intricate train lines. Today, all of the factories, after sitting abandoned for decades have been turned into unique work and living spaces. The cargo train lines are fortunately still in business. The space I inhabit here in Atlanta has 21 foot ceilings, polished concrete floors and lot exposed brick. I envisioned warming up the space, softening it with a touch of California vibes but I had a hard time executing what I wanted. So I got back into touch with my friends at Decorist. They did such an amazing job redecorating our LA home a couple of years back that it was a no brainer to use them again for my new spot in Atlanta. Interior design made easy and it’s all done online! For the breakdown of how it works, click here.
Decorist teamed up with Bed Bath & Beyond for the chic furnishings. Bed Bath and Beyond has such a massive selection of home furnishings. Definitely worth checking out! Thank you to Susan Glen and Jess McCarthy for helping me bring this space together! I’m over the moon of how it all turned out!
