I’ve always been a fan of Opening Ceremony. Their style is progressive, experimental and edgy. Quit simply, it’s cool. I came early to the show to sneak a peak backstage and browse through their lineup. I noticed a lot of primary colors, stripes, ruffles, layers and extra long sleeves. They were in the middle of rehearsals, so the energy was buzzing! Outside the sun was setting and a few of the staff members had a minute to take a breather and soak in the view.

 I also got to sneak a peak at the newest Fossil x Opening Ceremony watches.

Their Spring 2017 presentation was named Sunday’s Pageant of the People and took place at the Javits Center on the evening of Sept 11th. The show was emceed by Carrie Brownstein and Fred Armisen.  It included “Pageant” participants made up of some of my favorite actresses/activisists; Rashida Jones, Whoopi Goldberg, and Sarah McBride just to name a few. They were all asked questions that talked about important issues surrounding the upcoming election. It was pretty fantastic. Read more about the show and the topics discussed here.
