We celebrated Bryan’s Big 4-0 by taking a couple quick trips leading up to his big day. It was a great way to see parts of Southern California that we haven’t seen. Campera in Ensenada being one of them (the bubble hotel) and this ridiculously cool Air Stream in Malibu being the other. Both were found on Airbnb. Nope, this isn’t an ad! I continue to find cool places to stay on their website which satisfies my wanderlust cravings. It also helps to travel before or after summer. Most of these places are unfortunately booked the entire summer.
We had our good friend Jana Williams make the trip up to Malibu to capture some of our family portraits. We love you Jana! THANK YOU!
Hopefully this inspires you to take a little staycation of your own!

The hosts of this airstream are super nice! Just head over to Airbnb and search for “Malibu Dream Airstream” and it’ll pop up. It’s a bit on the pricier side but totally worth staying a night or two. You are out in the wilderness and the views are breathtaking. If the weather works to your advantage you can star gaze at night. If you’re driving up North towards Malibu, stop by one of our favorite seafood restaurants Reel Inn. Don’t forget to pack something to cook for the evening! There is a Ralph’s or Whole Foods on the way. Once you get up there, you’re not gonna want to leave! But also, it’s a bit precarious to drive down that hill at night. I wouldn’t recommend it. Stay safe and have a happy Staycation.
